Best Harry Potter World Souvenirs on a Budget
Look, Iโm not really a souvenir-type person. I like to spend my money on memories and experiences over material thingsโฆbut the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was an exception!
The first time I visited Universal Orlando, I spent 2 days in the Wizarding World and boy oh boy did I want to buy too many things. Alas, my budget and budget-friendly conscious could only indulge to a point. After all, tickets to the Wizarding World are expensive. Food is expensive. Butterbeer is expensive!
Iโve now been a passholder, have frequented the parks many times perusing the shops, and have even explored Epic Universeโs Wizarding Paris. So here are the best Harry Potter World souvenirs to buy if youโre on a budget.
These are in order of cost and are some of the most special items, I think. Not just the tacky Hogwarts house magnets, but an actual souvenir to remember your time and the impressive immersive part of the universe.

1. Map of the Wizarding World โ free
When I first arrived in the Wizarding World, I kept seeing everyone holding these awesome authentic, vintage looking maps. I was obsessed and it took me a good while to figure out where to get them.
They feature Diagon Alley (and Knockturn Alley and Carkitt Market) on one side and Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts on the other. Theyโre seriously so beautiful. I kept thinking, โyepp, I could totally frame that in my house.โ
They even have new versions that include Wizarding Paris!
But where to get them? Turns out they are the maps that come in each interactive wand box because they also happen to note where the interactive wand experiences are (one of the most fun things to do in the Wizard World parks). At these locations you can cast spells and make magic happen!
Luckily, you donโt actually need a wand to get one of the maps. Itโs as easy as asking for one.
I got one from a team member in Ollivanders in Diagon Alley and a second copy at Owl Post in Hogsmeade. But any location that sells the wands will have the maps.
The best part? These babies are free! and beautiful!

2. The Quibbler Spectrespecs โ $7
Most known as being worn by our favorite Ravenclaw, Luna Lovegood, spectrespecs help you see otherwise invisible wrackspurts.
These glasses are made from stiff cardboard and arenโt the highest quality but they come with a poster of The Quibbler front page and make for a decent, cheap souvenir. You can find them throughout the shops. I spotted them in Dervish and Banges in Hogsmeade in the back by the live Monster Book of Monsters in the cage.

3. Weasleyโs Wizard Wheezes Candy โ $8
I love an edible souvenir! It gets you immersed in the universe and has a tasty payoff.
Weasleyโs Wizard Wheezes sells lots of fun candy concoctions known for their whacky side effects โ like puking pastilles, fever fudge, and nosebleed nougat. For muggles, theyโre all candies or chocolates, sans the magical side effects.
You can purchase them within the Weasleysโ shop (the bright orange one) for about $8 each. Or if you want a collection, consider a Skiving Snackbox that includes 4 varieties for $40 in a fun, collectible cardboard box.
You can also get them from K. Rammelle, Wizarding Parisโ confectionery in Epic Universe and Honeydukes in Hogsmeade Village at Islands of Adventure (and even at Universal Studios Hollywood).

4. Gringotts Bank Notes โ $10
This souvenir is part replica/display item, part functional item to immerse yourself further, and part experience. Unfortunately, itโs only available at the Wizaridng World in Orlando.
In Carkitt Market, there is a building called the Money Exchange. In here, there is an animatronic goblin that is interactive. You can ask him questions like his favorite color, if he knows Harry Potter, what his name is, if Gringotts has ever had a break-in, if you can have a bank note, and more.
Then you can approach the wizard (the human team member) at the register and exchange your Muggle money for Gringotts bank notes.
The minimum is $10, but you can also do $20.
Then you receive a beautiful Gringotts bank note that has a barcode on the back making it a real gift certificate you can use within the Wizarding World and at select locations in the parks. You can also keep it as a souvenir โ one of the cheapest and most memorable.
This is also a great option if you want to immerse your children in the world. You can go to exchange money then give them the bank notes to spend in the Wizarding World!

5. Head Boy/Girl Pin โ $12
I donโt love a lot of the inexpensive merchandise at the Wizarding World because it feels exactly as it isโฆmerchandise, not immersive items.
This one is an exception. Found within Madam Malkinโs Robes for All Occasions, Globus Mondi, and other shops, the Head Girl/Boy House pins are a fun outfit addition that make you feel like a star Hogwarts student. They have them for every house and they even have Prefect pins if youโd rather take on that leadership role.

6. Butterbeer Mug โ $13
You canโt visit the Wizarding World without trying butterbeer. You can actually get a souvenir mug to remember your trip by.
It costs $13 and comes with frozen butterbeer (my second favorite!) and itโs made of durable plastic.
Unfortunately, they donโt offer discounted refills with the mug, but at least you can go home and remember the sweet, sweet taste of butterbeer!
Within the shops, youโll also find more butterbeer glasses, mugs, and merchandise if you want something hardier. These get up to $40 though.

7. Bertie Bottโs Every-Flavour Beans โ $13
Hooray for more edible souvenirs! You absolutely have to try Bertie Bottโs Every-Flavour Beans. Thereโs 20 unique flavors including some amazing ones like marshmallow and apple, but also some disgusting ones like dirt, earwax, and soap.
Thatโs the fun though! You never know what youโre getting.
The box is $13 and you can shop it in Honeydukes, Sugarplums, or K. Rammelle, which are the candy shops in Hogsmeade Village, Diagon Alley, and Wizarding Paris, respectively.

8. Howler Recordable Pop-up Card โ $19
Are you even a Harry Potter fan if you canโt recite Mrs.Weasleyโs Howler message by heart? Okay, yes, because thereโs no gatekeeping here. Everyone can be a Harry Potter fan without needing to prove anything.
However, this Howler souvenir is your chance to shine!
You can record up to 15 seconds of a message and the Howler will recite your message in your voice when opened! It even comes with initialed โwax sealsโ (stickers) that you can use to seal the card.
Itโs obviously not meant as a replica or serious souvenir, but I think itโs so fun!!
Plus, you can actually mail it from Hogsmeade and get an โofficialโ postage stamp.

9. Decoy Detonator Toy โ $19
I do love a replica and Iโm getting quite a substantial Harry Potter display in my house. This Decoy Detonator is from the Weasleyโs Wizard Wheezes shop and is another jokester device.
This one unleashes a fury of sound when you pull back on it.
While it could be fun for kids, parents bewareโฆthis thing can get annoying as any toy with sound does.

10. Chocolate frog tin โ $25
While there are cheaper chocolate frogs you can get in a paper box, I think the metal tin is worth the splurge!
Found in the sweet shops, Honeydukes, Sugarplums, and K. Rammelle, and many of the shops, chocolate frogs are honestly a big brick of thick milk chocolate that are pretty hard to eat.
But, they come with wizard trading cards! There is a variety and you get 5 in each tin. They are lenticular so they change as you move them back and forth so thatโs really neat!
Iโd opt for the metal tin so you can easily wash it and display it. I think the paper box is underwhelming and can lose its shape if poked in the wrong spot in your bag. It is available though for about $13.

11. Wands โ $65+
The FOMO gets real when youโre walking around the Wizarding World and you donโt have your own wand. Everyone it seems is crowding around the interactive wand experiences watching others cast spells, or even looking for the perfect wand in Ollivanders.
Still, these are a pricey souvenir so letโs break it down to see if the wands are worth the price.
First, if you want to have the interactive wand experiences throughout the parks, you need a special interactive wand that costs $65. Regular (non-interactive wands) are $55.
They also have second-generation wands, which connect to the app to keep track of your Hogwarts house team accomplishments unlocking duels. These cost $85.
Is it worth the price?
Iโd say if youโre planning to get a wand anyway and you donโt have a certain characterโs in mind, Iโd get the interactive one for $10 more. They can last 2+ years Iโve heard so itโs a good investment, especially if youโre going to be coming back to the parks.
If you arenโt coming back to the parks, I personally wouldnโt bother with a wand from Universal. The interactive experiences are crowded and take up your precious time, which honestly for a 2 day Harry Potter world itinerary is packed anyway.
Note that if you or your child gets chosen for the wand ceremony experience at Ollivanderโs, you still need to purchase the wand.

Instead, I recommend doing a quick Facebook marketplace or Mercari search ahead of time to see if there are any sellers of secondhand options.
I only opted for a wand until I became a park regular, when I could use the interactive wand when the area was empty during Halloween Horror Nights!
12. Themed bags โ $70+
This one is definitely an investment that I recommend making at the beginning of your trip to the Wizarding World. Youโll find lots of themed bags throughout the parks including Loungefly bags and Danielle Nicole bags.
There are mini backpacks (my favorite), fanny packs, clutches, purses, wallets, and card holders that vary in price where the bigger bags are between $70-90 and the small items are around $40-50.
However, they last a long time and are perfect for holding all your park essentials!
You can also get these outside of the parks in preparation for your trip.

13. House Robes โ $140+
Yeah, these are not the most affordable option, I know. However, if think youโll be returning to the Wizarding World or want to up the ante of your experience, house robes are a great investment!
They last years for adults and if you wear them around the Wizarding World, employees will treat you like a bonafide Hogwarts student.
This can be a really fun way to extend the immersive experience.
I will say that these bad boys can make you pretty hot in the Florida sun, especially during summer (no cooling charms included unfortunately).
Similarly to wands, you can look for robes outside of the parks from Facebook Marketplace or Mercari. Just be sure youโre looking at the right versions (so you arenโt accidentally getting a youth robe when you need an adult one).
